"I am a person who did not believe in the suffering and severity of whiplash, until I was in an automobile accident and became diagnosed with it. I went through two years of physical therapy to increase mobility in my neck and to reduce the neck and upper back pain that I was suffering with.
When I was discharged from physical therapy, I had 80% range of motion in my neck and I was pleased with this outcome because when I began, I only have about 15%. Although my doctor and the physical therapists agreed that I would never recover 100%, I knew that I could feel better.
Unfortunately, for three years, I placed my family, work and school before my health and well being and continuously suffered. I recall my back going out of alignment often and being immobile for a week each time.
